YOGA (Strength and Stretch)

\r\n

Dates: Friday’s for 8 weeks starting January 13th, 2023.

\r\n

Time: 2:45pm-3:45pm
Place: Old Weight Room in High School
Instructor: Amanda Rice

\r\n

Class Description: All levels of yoga, no prior yoga experience required. This class
offers a combination of Hatha and Vinyasa style yoga, focusing on improving flexibility,
strength, alignment and balance, within a peaceful and relaxing mindset. Yoga mat
required. Limited number of mats available to borrow, provided by instructor.

Wood Shop
Fee: $25 

\r\n

Dates: Monday’s for 8 weeks starting January  9th, 2023

\r\n

Time: 6:00pm-9:00pm
Place: High School Shop
Instructor: Matthew Young

\r\n

Class Description: This is not intended to be a beginner level class. Members of this
class will be given the opportunity to work on wood projects of their choice. They will
have time to use the equipment and tools that the shop has available. Each member is
responsible for providing their own plans, materials, supplies or other specialty items.
The instructor will be available to assist in project construction, techniques, and safe operations of the tools. Class space is limited.

Beginning Wood Shop (Planter Box)

Supply Fee: $35

Dates: Thursday’s for 8 weeks starting January 12th, 2023

\r\n

Time: 6:00pm-9:00pm
Place: High School Shop
Instructor: Matthew Young

Class Description: This is intended to be a beginner level class. Members of this class
will be given the opportunity to work on a wooden planter box for the yard, deck or patio.
They will have time to use the equipment and tools that the shop has available. Each
member will be provided with plans, materials, supplies or other specialty items for this
project. These are paid for with the material fee for this class. The instructor will be
available to assist in project construction, techniques and safe operation of tools. Class space is limited.

Bead-Weaving Jewelry

Dates: Monday’s for 4 weeks starting January 9th, 2023.

\r\n

Time: 4:00pm-6:00pm

\r\n

Place: Room 250 (Mrs. Doll’s room in the middle school)

\r\n

Instructor: Stacey Doll

\r\n

Course Description: Learn to make earrings, bracelets, and other jewelry using
bead-weaving techniques. Bring a bead mat if you have one. Reading glasses
are helpful as we’ll be using very small beads. Limit 10 participants

Yoga Based Exercise Class

\r\n

Dates: Monday’s for 6 weeks starting January 9th, 2023

Course Description: This yoga based class incorporates pilates and ballet to
strengthen your core, all while improving your balance and flexibility. This class
may be modified to fit any level/ability. Please bring yoga mat.

Life Coaching Workshop
Fee: $25.00

Dates: Wednesday’s for 6 weeks starting January 11 th

\r\n

Time: 4:30pm to 5:30pm

Course Description: Come to class with a goal or intention and learn the self-
leadership skills to attain it using the SMART goals method, as well as others.
This will be a safe, highly supportive environment. Some ideas for
goals/intentions: healthier eating /lifestyle, improved communication with
others, transitions to a new career/lifestyle/relationship, starting a garden.
Together we will develop the skills, identify the resources and potential
obstacles and hold each other accountable along the way.

Open Sewing and Get to Know Your Machine

Dates: Tuesday’s for 12 weeks starting January 10th, 2023

\r\n

Time: 5:00pm -7:00pm

\r\n

Place: High School Family and Consumer Science Room

\r\n

Instructor: Cindy Noland

\r\n

Course Description: Whether you have a machine or not, you can learn to sew! This class is for those who may need a dedicated space and time to work on projects in progress, those who may have a machine but aren’t sure where to begin and those who want to try sewing but don’t have a machine. Please bring own projects to work on!  All levels and abilities are welcome!
