While using the concession stand and bathrooms, we ask that you put your mask on and social distance in line. All spectators will enter the football venue at the same gate. REED Mountain Construction is doing great work across the street with the new elementary building. Our local HiCountry Gutters worked all weekend to get the gutters up. COVID Update: According to the health department, at this time we have 4 students that are home due to potential exposure. Currently, the St. Ignatius School System including Staff and Students as Zero Positive Cases of Covid to report. The school remains to have zero students or staff exposed to Covid here at school. Keep up the great work staff and students. Construction News: HS Boys Lockers will be installed the week of Oct. 19. Construction and punch lists are improving. There are many items that are still being fixed or completed. The Civil Crew will be here this week, so be careful with students and all the moving machinery. The elementary classrooms are coming along great. The remodel project has had a setback in the art room that will need to be fixed and then that project will be complete. Food Distribution: Food Distribution for remote learners will be Wednesday, Oct. 14th from 10-12:00am. There is no school this Thursday or Friday. The HS Calendar has the Board Meeting for this Tuesday Oct. 13th; that is not accurate. The Board Meeting is Oct. 20th at 7pm in the HS Library. Board meetings are always the 3rd Tuesday of each month unless rescheduled for some extenuating circumstance. Middle School Football and Flag Football both end the year undefeated 8-0!! Go Bulldogs- All Holiday Live Performances have been cancelled at this time. Elementary and MS/HS may have some recorded programs that they will be sharing as the Holiday Season draws near.

Spook Parade (Online) St. Ignatius Elementary October 29th, Thursday from 2pm-3pm Check with your child's teacher on how to login and when so you can be part of the spooky fun! Parents and families will be able to attend virtually. Check our fb page for more complete information.

PTO meeting that was scheduled for tonight, Monday Oct 12, has been canceled.

Plains Game on the Radio: All the games will be streamed live online on andersonbroadcasting.com - just push the sports listen live button and then the Plains button -- or you can visit the Plains Schools website and follow the Live Broadcast link and you will be listening to the games live from Plains High School.

Food Distribution for Friday October 16th has been moved to Wednesday October, 14 from 10:00am to 12:00am. We do not have school on Oct. 15-16.

News/Update from the St. Ignatius School Nurse Ryanne Newton: The Lake County Leader has released the state’s report of School related Covid-19 cases in Montana. The overall number for the school year in both the elementary and middle school/high school is a total of 5 cases. In three of those cases the students had not attended for this school year and or were distance learners so posed no threat of contacts at school. The other 2 identified positive cases had not been in the building or participating in any school related functions during the time of contraction or contagious period because of a long holiday weekend and the families diligence in keeping their children home when they were sick, as well as following up with healthcare providers to determine if the illness was indeed Covid related. Therefore, the 5 listed cases are all cases we have been aware of, but the report takes information from the whole school year and we will not see those numbers drop off until we have 2 weeks of no active cases.

MS Volleyball has added a home game on Monday, September 28th. We will have two games against Polson.

Tickets will be handed out to players by Wednesday. Notes from Darby’s Spectator Policy: Away teams will also be given 2 tickets per athlete for spectators to get into the game. Anyone without a ticket will be turned away - no exceptions. We will have separate home and guest entrances for spectators. Home fans will enter through the west entrance, while visiting fans through the east entrance. Two porta potties have been placed on the visitor side of the field for guests use. Please encourage your visiting fans to remain on the east side of the field throughout the game. There will not be concessions at the game. In order to enter the event visitors: Must present ticket (One guest per ticket) Must not have a temperature of 100.4 degrees fahrenheit or higher Must sign in for contact tracing purposes Must wear a mask while at the Darby High School sporting event Family groups must be socially distanced in the stands from other family groups (6 feet apart) Coolers will not be allowed into games Tickets are for one event only. There has been some confusion in terms of our school reporting active cases of Covid that Tribal Health released on Friday. The only time we will release information concerning Covid is when we have cases that have a direct impact on school personnel and/or students that we have received from Lake County Health or Tribal Health . At this point we have had one case of Covid that was documented and information released by Tribal Health. This one case did NOT pose any threat to students or staff since the student and siblings had not been in the school for at least 6 days prior to testing. Therefore, there was no need to report or announce any information about this case. Moving forward, we will only announce Covid information if it has a direct possibility that staff and/or students have been potentially exposed to Covid. Tribal Health or Lake County will notify you personally if a student or staff member needs to be quarantined for potential exposure or any specific information individuals may need to know. At this point there has been ZERO cases of Covid that could have posed the potential for exposure to any student or staff member here at school. If there was a potential for exposure all staff and/or students will be notified.
